"Once Upon A Time In The West "movie set diorama.

Hi ! I am doing a 1/24 scale storyboard diorama dedicated to Sergio Leone's classic film "Once Upon A Time In The West".
It is a wonderful film by a brilliant director with a musical score that it very beautiful.My diorama is mostly about the opening scene from the gunfight at Cattle Corner and the arrival of "Jill" at Flagstone station.The character of Jill is portrayed by the beautiful Claudia Cardinale.
My Italian is poor so this will be mostly a photo essay , as they say a picture is worth a thousand words .Cheers ! John.

Cool! It's the very first time I see a modeler having a project dealing with the silver screen and what particular screen...hearing about Sergio Leone

Jill's arrival at Flagstone is what I am presently working on.

As a first step I took a 1/24 scale Bachmann passenger car and cut it in two and placed them end to end.
This is a vignette that I am creating within the larger diorama.

Note: Some of these pics have been divided into nine sections,please disregard this for our purposes here.
The first thing I noticed here was that the door has a frame all around it as though she is disembarking at somewhere other than the end of the car.Sergio may have taken a little artistic license here in order to frame his shot.

The picture seems to have been shot from about this angle so the question is where ? All of the old west passenger cars that I have seen all disembark passengers from a platform at either end.
I know that this is actually a Spanish style train so maybe they are different.I will however set up the scene using the old west style.

Dear John, yu're not a simple modeller...

Great study of the scene, the angle of the camera and other important things...so I'm sure you are not only reproducing a scene but your action is a complete creation and, according to my opinion, this is art
