In 1956, England began rationing gasoline in response to the Suez Crisis. In response, the British Motor Corporation introduced a small fuel-efficient car- the Mini-in 1959. At 10 feet (3 m) long and 4.6 feet (1.3 m) tall, the Mini was tiny. However, by inverting the engine set-up and angling the seats, the Mini was able to offer a full six foot (1.8 m) passenger cabin. Kit features fine surface details, separate movable hood, detailed 4-cylinder engine, separate exhaust assembly, detailed dashboard and authentic decals.
