The twin-engine EC 145 was developed via a joint venture between Eurocopter® and Kawasaki® Heavy Industries in the late ’90s. Its many uses range from passenger transport to medical emergencies to search-and-rescue missions. Hesse, Germany’s State Police (Landespolizei) was among the first to use the EC 145 in April, 2002 for transport and surveillance. France’s public safety police force (Gendarmerie Nationale), another early adopter, uses multiple EC 145s to monitor smaller cities that are outside the French National Police’s jurisdiction.

The single-engine Bell H-13H was developed in the mid-1940s for the U.S. military. Popular throughout the Korean War, this heli was often equipped with Medevac panniers on each skid and an acrylic shield to protect potential patients. Kit features a detailed six-cylinder Lycoming engine, a single-piece bubble canopy, a pilot figure, the choice of a Medevac version with two litters for wounded patients or a gunship version with two machine guns and six rocket tubes, plus decals for four different helicopters: Medevac, gunship, test bed or transport.
