Description
After the massed appearance of the Soviet T-34, the German side developed the armoured fighting vehicle V “Panther” (Sd.Kfz. 171), Type D of which was used for the first time in 1943. At the end of 1943 necessary improvements gave rise to the Type A. With its 75 mm tank cannon 42 L/70, by the end of the war, the “Panther” had proved its superiority over most enemy battle tanks. The V-12 Maybach petrol engine developing 700 hp gave the 43,000 kg “Panther” a top speed of 55 km/h. It had a crew of 5.

Description
During the 1960’s the safe and fast transport of heavy and highly sensitive loads took on a new meaning for the US Army. Suitable transport systems had to be procured for the new short and medium range missile systems. The powerful1 80bhp Kenworth Tractor was mated to a Fruehauf trailer. Special transportation cushions provided a secure hold for individual components. Honest John was a short range Free Flight Rocket with a range of 29.8 miles. In all, a total of 7,089 Honest John MGR-1B’ were produced. The weapons system was deployed until 1982. The German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) were also equipped with 11 Honest John Batteries.

Available with six- or eight-wheel drive, the Sd. Kfz. 232 was used for recon and scouting missions during WWII. Sd. Kfz. 232s were usually armed with a 2 cm KwK 30 L/55 auto-cannon and a 7.92 mm MG 34 machine gun. Kit features the choice of a Sd. Kfz. 232 communications vehicle with an overhead frame antenna, or the Sd. Kfz. 231 armored car without antenna. Includes soft black tires, three crew figures, a campfire, a fly tent with poles and decals with markings for the Afrika Corps and the Polish Campaign.
