Scale: 1:35
Length: 224 mm

Description
During “Operation Barbarossa” in the Soviet Union, in the first winter of war in 1941, the German High Command realised that the traditional truck was not suitable for the harsh climate and terrain. The vehicles often got stuck in the deep snow. In order to solve this problem, in 1942 the “Maultier” (mule) was developed. It was a variation on a production truck, on which the rear axle was replaced by a caterpillar track. From 1943, Daimler-Benz produced a half-track based on the all-wheel drive L4500R with the tracked assembly of the armoured fighting vehicle PzKpfw. II. The vehicle designated L4500R had a load carrying capacity of 4.5 tonnes. The model kit has attractive filigree and finely detailed components, including an authentic representation of the wood grain on the platform. In addition the model has a detailed reproduction of the engine, 2 figures (mechanic and driver) and an injection moulded track with individual links and sections. There are decals for 2 German Army versions.
